KICK-OFF AND 1ST STEERING COMMITTEE 11 JANUARY 2019 - BARI

The Project’s kick-off and 1st Steering Committee meetings, took place on 11th of January 2019 in Bari at the premises of the Union of Provinces of Puglia. REGLPORTS, Cross-border cooperation network for an open-to-innovation tourism, cofunded under the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania- Montenegro Programme, aims at developing common models and plans for the enhancement of Nautical Tourism in the Programme area. Lead Partner of the project is the National Coastline Agency (AL). The project partners are: Municipality of Manfredonia (IT); Municipality of Termoli (IT); Union of the Provinces of Puglia (IT); Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Albania (AL); Agency for the management of the town harbour Herceg Novi Ltd. (ME).

The establishment of the Consortium has been formalized and all the partners showed their interest in making a good and effective work and expressed their intention in streghten the collaboration among the participant territories.

The overall objective of REGLPORTS is the development of a common model and plans for the enhancement of Nautical Tourism (NT) in the Programme area. In particular, the project wants to develop Nautical Tourism in 21 small and medium-sized ports.

The main Outputs of the project are:

• Cross border nautical tourism development plan

• IT platform with common tourist services

• Pollution monitoring installations

• Tools for tourism skills upgrading

• REGLPORTS Centers, located at 3 pilot ports (one in each country), that will contribute in enhancing NT by all means.
